Adapted from Sabahattin Ali's 1943 novel Madonna in a Fur Coat, this romantic drama follows Manav (Shantanu Maheshwari) and his all-consuming love and an eight-year-long search for dancer and painter Linh (Khả Ngân), who disappears from his life without explanation. Manav must decide whether to keep waiting or honour his family's wish for him to marry his childhood friend Simmi (Avneet Kaur). The film was announced at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. It is based on the novel Madonna in a Fur Coat (1943), written by Sabahattin Ali. Shantanu Maheshwari, Avneet Kaur and Khả Ngân were cast to appear in the film. Principal photography of the film commenced in September 2024, and filming ended in December 2024. The filming took place in Vietnam and India.
