Aamir Khan's Dadasaheb Phalke Biopic With Rajkumar Hirani In Jeopardy
Mumbai, September 17 - Earlier this year, superstar Aamir Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani announced their reunion for the biopic of legendary Dadasaheb Phalke. The news created a stir among the fans as the blockbuster duo, who delivered two iconic films in 3 Idiots and PK, came together after more than a decade for their third collaboration.
The movie was expected to be a landmark film for both Aamir and Hirani, but cut to a few months later, the much-awaited collab has hit a roadblock. According to the latest report by Bollywood Hungama, the Dadasaheb Phalke Biopic has been put on hold, and the reason is the script.
It is said that Aamir Khan heard the script from Hirani and felt that it didn't have enough elements to make for a theatrical watch. The perfectionist wanted Hirani to have a typical approach of mixing laughter with emotion and drama. But the script was devoid of comedy, which raised a doubt in the mind of Aamir, and he requested Raju to rewrite the script and come back.
The report further stated that Rajkumar Hirani and co-writer Abhijat Joshi were shocked by Aamir's reaction and are now figuring out what to do next. The movie, which was supposed to go on floors by October this year, has now been delayed indefinitly, as per Bollywood Hungama. The Dangal star is now reportedly hearing other scripts for his next.
