Alia Bhatt to star in Oscar winner Resul Pookutty’s Next project?

A report in a leading daily has revealed that Oscar-winning sound designer turned producer Resul Pookutty is working on his debut project which is inspired from the current rise in tensions between India-China at the border. The movie will feature Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt in the lead role.

The report revealed that it will a story of an Indian soldier named Baba Harbhajan Singh that will also feature Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi's recent visit to the army camp in Ladakh. It is a love saga set at the backdrop of the Indo-China war that took place in 1967 at Nathula.



Talking about the project, Resul Pookutty said, "The current tension between India and China is already a part of our film. It's bizarre that we had already written it and it just happened."

"I believe that Baba is there guarding our border. Our script is almost ready. We will take it to Army officials and get their feedback".

The makers of the movie plan to portray the storyline in today’s times and the film will be on floors in 2021.

Talking about Alia Bhatt's upcoming movie, Sadak 2 which is a remake of 1991's Sadak starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt, will be premiered on Disney+Hotstar. The film also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor.
