Drishyam 3 To Have Different Story In Hindi and Malayalam

Mumbai, February 14 - The much-anticipated Drishyam 3 is shaping up to be a unique cinematic experiment, as the makers have reportedly decided to go ahead with different storylines for the Hindi and Malayalam versions. While both films will carry forward the essence of the Drishyam franchise, centred on suspense, family, and moral dilemmas, the narrative paths will reportedly diverge to suit regional sensibilities and character arcs.

In Malayalam, Mohanlal will once again reprise his iconic role of Georgekutty. The Malayalam Drishyam series has always been the original blueprint, and reports suggest that Drishyam 3 will explore deeper psychological consequences and long-term repercussions of the events from the first two films, staying rooted in Kerala's socio-cultural backdrop.

On the other hand, the Hindi version led by Ajay Devgn is expected to take a more commercially expansive route. While inspired by the Malayalam narrative, the Hindi Drishyam 3 will reportedly feature fresh twists, altered character motivations, and a different investigative angle, ensuring that audiences who have followed both versions still get a new experience.

With both versions being developed independently, Drishyam 3 could become one of the rare Indian franchises where regional storytelling differences play a central role, making the climax and resolution unpredictable, even for fans familiar with the original series.

The Malayalam version, directed by Jeethu Joseph, is scheduled to release on April 2, 2026, while the Abhishek Pathak-directed Hindi version will hit the big screens on October 2, 2026.
