Parasakthi Box Office: Sivakarthikeyan's Political Action Drama Headed To Finish Below Madharasi

Chennai, January 21 - Sivakarthikeyan's much-anticipated political action drama Parasakthi is facing a tough run at the box office as its momentum continues to slow down during the working weekdays. Despite a respectable opening period, the film has struggled to sustain footfalls, with collections witnessing a steady decline across domestic markets.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi has grossed around 82 crore worldwide so far, and the daily numbers have dropped significantly, indicating that the film is nearing the end of its theatrical run. Mixed word of mouth has impacted its box office prospects, especially when compared to Sivakarthikeyan's recent successful outings.

Last year's Madharasi ended its run as an average grosser, despite huge expectations. The movie, however, still managed to clock almost 100 crores gross worldwide as it closed its theatrical run with 98.75 crores. Parasakthi, on the other hand, may struggle to even cross the actor's last release.

Given the current trend, it looks extremely challenging for Parasakthi to reach or surpass Madharasi's worldwide total. Unless the film witnesses an unexpected surge in collections, it is likely to conclude its theatrical journey below the 100 crore mark, making Madharasi the better-performing Sivakarthikeyan film at the box office among the two.
