Here is the list of all Claude Rains movies.

Claude Rains was a British-American actor born on November 10, 1889, in London, England. Known for his versatile acting abilities, he had a career spanning over four decades and left an indelible mark on the film industry. Although he primarily worked in the United States, he retained his distinctive British charm throughout his career.

Rains began his acting journey on the London stage before making his way to Hollywood in the 1930s. He gained critical acclaim for his role as Captain Renault in the classic film "Casablanca" (1942), where his memorable line "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!" became an iconic moment in cinema history. Rains was praised for his ability to portray complex characters with depth and subtlety.

One of Rains' most celebrated performances was in the 1933 horror film "The Invisible Man," directed by James Whale. In the film, he played the role of Dr. Jack Griffin, a scientist who discovers the secret of invisibility but becomes consumed by madness. Rains' exceptional vocal skills and ability to convey emotion without the use of facial expressions made his portrayal of the invisible man truly remarkable.

Throughout his career, Rains received four Academy Award nominations for his roles in films such as "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (1939) and "Notorious" (1946). Although he never won an Oscar, he was highly regarded by his peers and remembered as one of the finest actors of his generation.

Claude Rains continued to act in both film and theater until his passing on May 30, 1967, in Laconia, New Hampshire, USA. His contributions to the art of acting and his ability to bring complex characters to life have secured his place as a legendary figure in cinema. Rains' legacy lives on through his numerous acclaimed performances, which continue to captivate audiences to this day.
