Here is the list of the highest individual scores in the ODI World Cup.
New Zealand's Martin Guptill holds this record as he scored 237 runs against West Indies at Sky Stadium, Wellington on 21 March 2015. Chris Gayle is second on this list as he scored 215 runs against Zimbabwe at Manuka Oval, Canberra on 24 February 2015.
Glenn Maxwell is the only man who scored a double century while chasing in the World Cup. Maxwell scored 201 runs in 128 balls with a strike rate of 157.03 against Afghanistan, he hit 21 fours and 10 sixes.
