This list of the world's largest steel-producing companies is mainly based on the World Steel Association's list. The list ranks steelmakers by volume of steel production in millions of tonnes over time and includes the top 10 steelmakers with more than 10 million tonnes in 2021.
The World Steel Association presents a list of its members every year. Due to mergers, year-to-year figures for some producers are not comparable. Not all steel is the same. Some steel is more valuable than other steel, so volume is not the same as turnover.
