Who Was Amoghavarsha I?

Amoghavarsha I, also known as Amoghavarsha Nripatunga, was a king of the Rashtrakuta dynasty in South India who ruled during the 9th century AD. He was the son of Govinda III and the grandson of Dhruva Dharavarsha. He is considered one of the greatest kings of the Rashtrakuta dynasty, known for his military conquests, patronage of the arts, and his contributions to the development of Kannada literature.

Amoghavarsha I came to the throne around 814 AD and immediately set out to expand the Rashtrakuta kingdom.
