Prabhas and Director Hanu Raghavapudi's 'Fauji' Release Date Revealed

Hyderabad, August 8 - Pan-India superstar Prabhas and Sita Ramam director Hanu Raghavapudi teamed up for the first time for a period action drama film, tentatively titled Fauji. The movie has been in production for some time, and reportedly, over 50% shoot has been wrapped up.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Fauji's most of filming is expected to be completed in the next two months. Meanwhile, according to the latest report by Telugu 360, the makers are looking to release the film on April 3, 2026, during the Good Friday weekend. The official announcement will be made very soon.



Currently, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's highly-awaited horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, along with Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2, are scheduled to release on April 2 and April 3, respectively. If Fauji officially locks this date, then it is going of a major box office clash at the Hindi box office.

The movie is said to be a period action drama, set against the backdrop of 1940 British India, and is the tale of a warrior who rose from the shadows, emerging from a society that believed war was the only answer to the buried injustices and forgotten truths that history kept hidden from the world.

Debutante Imanvi is playing the female lead opposite Prabhas, while veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher, and actress Jayapradha, are cast in crucial roles. Meanwhile, after wrapping up Fauji, Prabhas will start shooting for director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit.
